Description

We are looking for a service technician to perform specialty repair work and maintenance for water treatment technologies in North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and surrounding areas. The company will provide a truck/van, laptop, and phone for service calls.

  • Specializes in multiple areas of water treatment technology repair, such as high-purity water systems, water softeners, water reclaim systems, and specialized filtration systems.
  • Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with other diagnostic equipment.
  • Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
  • Performs repairs, replacements, or maintenance.
  • Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems.
  • Travel to the home office in Ramsey, MN, to gather tools and parts regularly.
  • Ability to travel to the Ramsey office for the first few months for training and onboarding purposes.
  • Ability to work on-call hours as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of the specialized area and general repair.
  • Excellent mechanical repair skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals.
  • Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to read work orders.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state of Minnesota and surrounding states.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) years of related experience.
  • Plumbing experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in water treatment systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs regularly.
  • Must be able to inspect water treatment technologies to determine repairs needed.
  • Good vision is required to inspect repair work.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

Description

The Production technician will assemble the company’s products, quality check them, and pack them according to specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds the company’s products to those specifications.

• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.

• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine/equipment maintenance, and product inconsistencies.

• Checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.

• Maintains production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports, including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics and basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.

• Detail-oriented and consistent.

• Works well as a productive member of a team.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Two (2) years of related experience

 

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.

• Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.

• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.

• Must wear required PPE.
