Description

The Service Technician will perform specialty repair work and maintenance for water treatment technologies.

  • Specializes in multiple areas of water treatment technology repair, such as high-purity water systems, water softeners, water recycling, and specialized filtration systems.
  • Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with other diagnostic equipment.
  • Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
  • Performs repairs, replacements, or maintenance.
  • Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of the specialized area and general repair.
  • Excellent mechanical repair skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals.
  • Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to read work orders.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state of Minnesota and surrounding states.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) years of related experience.
  • Plumbing experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly.
  • Must be able to inspect water treatment technologies to determine repairs needed.
  • Good vision to inspect repair work.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

Description

The Purchasing Agent will perform administrative and clerical duties for the purchasing and inventory control department and assist in managing the company’s materials inventory.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Purchases goods and services according to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Works with vendors to negotiate volume and cash transaction discounts and other available discounts.
  • Ensures that purchasing documents are complete, and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.
  • Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records.
  • Monitors shipping notices to avoid potential problems with deliveries.
  • Generates final invoicing for finished products or services.
  • Communicates/coordinates with managers and other teams to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Creates, tracks, and coordinates product orders and follows up if there are any issues.
  • Assist in documenting purchasing policies and procedures, including the ability to recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Sage 100 a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to understand company products, manufacturing operations, equipment utilization, and material requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred.
  • Two (2) years of buying/purchasing experience required.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
Salary Description
$52,000 to $62,400 per year
