Contract laundry facility

Equipment Description:

Commercial triplex water softening system with three (3) 2” control valves, three (3) resin tanks each with ten (10) cubic feet of cation exchange resin, and a brine tank for bulk salt storage.

Problem:

It requires more soap and detergent to clean laundry with hard water versus soft water. This can lead to less than desirable results when a customer uses the facility and doesn’t use enough soap or detergent to clean their garments.

Solution:

Installation of a commercial triplex water softening system with progressive service. This system was designed to handle the peak flow rate requirement of the facility with just two of the three resin tanks online. This allows for a continuous flow of soft water to the facility, even if one of the three tanks is regenerating. The installation of this system has resulted in much higher customer satisfaction with the results of the washing cycle being much more effective with less soap and detergent consumption.
