School district in Illinois
Equipment Description:
Commercial triplex ion-exchange water softening system with grooved copper manifold, mounted on steel skids for ease of installation.
Problem:
Hard water delivered to the school via the municipal water supply is shortening the life of the water heating equipment, mixing valves, and causing additional maintenance to remove the scale accumulation at the fixtures throughout the facility.
Solution:
A pre-plumbed, skid-mounted ion-exchange-type water softening system. This triplex system features progressive flow rate capabilities, bringing tanks online and offline as needed, and includes a pre-piped grooved copper manifold assembly for ease of installation. The system also includes a Brine Reclamation package that helps to reduce the amount of salt consumption and water waste during the regeneration cycle by about 30%. This offers great savings from salt consumption alone, not to mention the environmental impact as well.
