Legionella and Pathogen Control

WCC ‘s High-Capacity Ultrafiltration (HUF™) systems serve as a firewall to bacteria, viruses, and harmful pathogens at point-of-entry and point-of-use. In severe cases, HUF™ systems can be combined with chemical disinfectant injection for total control. We provide our clients with water analysis and complete construction documents including cut sheets, DIV 22/23™ specifications, 3D Revit™ models, and submittal packages.

Standard Features

High-Capacity Ultrafiltration (HUF™) systems utilize hollow fiber membrane technology. These filters are automatically cleaned, tested, and verified throughout their many (15+) years of typical service life. When chemicals are also needed, WCC utilizes industry-leading, variable speed injection equipment to dose safe, effective disinfectants.

Additional Standard Features

Removal of 99.999%+ of bacteria, viruses, and particulates, as well as most organic nutrients without additional EPA/Health Department oversight

Dissolved minerals and disinfectants are NOT removed

Self-cleaning functionality: filters flush 1-4 times per day, providing 15 – 22 year filter life

Very low water waste (no continuous waste/concentrate stream!)

Minimal pressure loss (typically 0 – 5 psid)

Onboard Direct Integrity Test (DIT): allows % bacterial removal to be tested up to once every 24 hours automatically or manually (point-of-entry systems only)

Pre-treatment sediment filters (bag filters or backwashing filters)

Flow-through hydropneumatic tanks downstream to serve quick-acting fixtures, like flush valves without over-sizing of filters

Onboard controller monitors, displays, and data logs flow rates, pressure loss, % bacterial removal, and alarm conditions

Ultra-compact point-of-use systems for specific fixtures/areas

Chemical disinfectant injection (typically used in existing facilities with bacterial problems) utilizes Grundfos variable speed Digital Dosing Systems

California OSHPD approval for healthcare facilities in seismic zones
