Lead and PFAS/PFOS, can be found in drinking water all across North America. Lead poisoning is proven to cause developmental and a myriad of other health issues, particularly in children. PFAS/PFOS (often called “forever chemicals”) are believed to cause cancer, even when present in very trace amounts. System Design
Pioneer Systems feature a patented cartridge filter system, making media very quick/easy to replace. Simply turn the inlet and outlet valves to the bypass position, bleed pressure with the pressure relief valve, drain water from the tank (as desired) to minimize splashing, open the unit, then remove and replace the cartridge. As the unit refills, use the pressure relief button to bleed out any excess air. The unique Activated Carbon block is the only product in the marketplace for lead and PFAS/PFOS removal that is landfill-friendly and does not require incineration. Also, cartridges are only replaced when necessary, as an internal water meter keeps track of how many gallons of water pass through the system. Because of this meter, the media cartridge typically lasts 1-2 years. What’s more, Pioneer Systems also remove chlorine, chloramine, and cysts (certain microorganisms down to 0.5 micron) from water.
